For the video of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech at Columbia University see

nah, they don't have this "phenomenon"
Thanks for posting links to the video clip and the sandmonkey blog. I've been reasonably busy so I probably would have missed both of them had it not been for a wee check up on your blog.
Yet I did take the time to sit and watch the 1 hour video of Ahmadinejad this morning.

Zanderlibra; I thought that Ahmadinejad started out with a feasible response to the University spokesperson, which was done in such a way that it enabled him to avoid all the questions that had been put to him. He then moved into a lengthy ramble that had academic pretentions (but failed), before making a couple of long winded political points at the end. He half-answered the questions in the same way.
That we both listened to the lot was probably beyond the call of duty and done just in case something significant or foolish might emerge. It finally did, on homosexuals.
I agree his start gave him the oppertunity to feasibly explain his dislike for the Israel situation and attack the chap before him.
I really wonder if we would have heard anything different if he did have the time he lost before he started.... probs not.
