Sad to hear. Both sides have been doing it i'm afraif. I read a book by an American journalist - Thomas Ricks - called 'Fiasco' and in it he quotes American officers in Iraq explaining how they arrested the families of Iraqi suspects - including children - and sent them to jails like Abu Ghraib, putting out the word that they'd be released when the 'suspect' handed himself in. Often they werent and no one had any idea what had happened to them even if someone did turn themselves in.
